The penal system that is in place in the USA is for many who fall under its jurisdiction unfair, misguided and fails to live up to its responsibility to rehabilitate, educate and prepare an incarcerated American to be productively reinstated back into society when released. The President & Co-Founder of AmFam, a National Urban Outreach Non-Profit, was established to address this problem and has extensive experience in providing vital information to inmates that not only gives them realistic hope to productively exist by actually obtaining employment, but provides them with the tools and education to become entrepreneurs by developing their innate skills and talents and possibly open their own business. AmFam is seeking 1,000 volunteers to expand this program to a nationwide level. Also established is our Prison Exit & Transition Program. If and when released, in most cases inmates return back to the same environments, people, places and affiliations. They are then statistically destined to end up back in prison. AmFam’s Exit and Transitional Program will expand an existing list of alternative geographical locations and transitional programs that were started in California, and now expanded to a nationwide level. This already proven program will be available to hundreds of penal institutions across many areas in the Country.
